Well done to the North Burleigh Team - Miami Pool Cystic Fibrosis Fundraiser

It is always great to hear that our members are out there in the community helping other charities raise funds.

We would like to thank the 12 North Burleigh Members who recently swam in the Cystic Fibrosis Swimathon at Miami Pool. A big thanks must also go to Sally Hunt for co-ordinating this effort.

Sally Hunt reported, "We all had great fun and raised $240 for a great cause - Cystic Fibrosis. Our North Burleigh Team swam 30.1kms in the 1.5 hours and placed 2^nd (behind the Miami Swim Club team) which was a great effort. I would like to thank the following team members:

Eyes on the Beach has been a fantastic supporter of the North Burleigh SLSC over the past couple of years and has recently seen a change in owner. Congratulations to all 43 competitors we had a great weekend.

Weather was windy all weekend with 1 rainy day which was Friday.

Thank you to all our Junior coaching staff that attended the weekend & supporting all competitors in all age groups. Our results show the great job that our Junior coaches have put in all season & we must congratulate them for their dedication.

A goal was set at the end of last season State Titles which was to acheive half the result (12th place) and as a team we did it.

Thank you to all our water safety - Phoebe Jeffery, Jack Raward & Conner McCormick and IRB personnel (Glenn Wright and Brett Bisby) for the weekend.

Thank you to all our Age Managers, Team Manager, set up & pack up crew & our support team - PARENTS.

Thank you to Nadine Bertwistle and her parents in co-ordination our Junior State dinner on Sunday.

This now being my last official day as Director of Junior Activities I am proud to say we have acheived the goals that I had set for North Burleigh Juniors and we have come a long way from 3 years ago. I am very proud of all our children and to be associated with the North Burleigh Juniors.
