Surf Boats
North Burleigh has a long history of Surf boat competition dating back to the 1950s. North Burleigh's surf boats can be seen on the start line for finals at Branch, State and Australian Titles.
Swim, Board, and Ski
Under the direction of Head Coach Wes Berg and Ski Coach, Nick Crilly, the Swim, Board and Ski Section look set to have one of the biggest seasons in 2009/2010. Training has been intense and the best way to capture the skill of this year's squad is to see them during board training on a Wednesday afternoon from 4.15pm.
IRB
One of the significant achievements at North Burleigh is the success of its IRB Team. Since IRB Competition began in 1985, North Burleigh has been the most prolific winner of any club nationally. The 2008/2009 Season, under the direction of acclaimed coach, Andy Kelckhoven, saw the IRB team finish second at the Australian titles after winning the event for the previous 6 years. 2009/2010 sees the Club aim to win back its titleThe IRB Team also supplied water safety for Nipper Carnivals, Senior Carnivals, Boat Carnivals, and the Australian Still Water Rowing Championships.
First Aid and Champion Lifesaver
The Seniors also compete in Patrol, First Aid and Champion Lifesaver events. These events showcase the skill involved in the arena of Surf Life Saving and is a great way for people to excel in the association...
Masters
The scope and diversity of North Burleigh extends to the Masters competitors. These members (all over 30 years) are an invaluable asset to the club, helping in Nipper coaching, helping in water safety at Carnivals, as well as competing in Masters events, R & R and Reel Teams in the Senior ranks. The Masters are a credit to the club and their Honour Board is already packed with results since its beginnings in 1991.
