EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE STARTING NIPPERS
Step 1 – Become a financial member at North Burleigh
Please view our ‘Frequently Asked Questions‘ and read through The Guide for NEW members and their families 2023/24 before proceeding with your membership.
*When signing up as a new member for Nipper’s please sign up as a family group, this needs to include at least 1 adult – refer to the above guide – this doesn’t mean to have to pay a “family membership of $365” it allows you to pay all together under 1 profile*
To ensure that your Nipper is in the correct age bracket please refer for the Nipper Age Guide below.
Step 2 – Complete pool preliminary evaluation
Register : HERE
- 26 August: 2pm – 4pm
- 9 September: 2pm – 4pm
- 7 October: 8am – 9am
Location: Marymount Primary Pool – 261/283 Reedy Creek Rd, Burleigh Waters QLD 4220
What to Bring: Water, Swimmers, Goggles, Cap, Towel
If you cannot attend any of these days, you can have your child’s swim coach assess and complete the form, see below.
Once the form is completed, please email a copy to admin@northburleighslsc.com.au (we don’t accept hard copies) prior to the first day of nippers in October.
Step 3 – Complete Beach Evaluation (U8-U14 only)
- 27th August: 9am – 10am
- 10 September: 9am – 10am
- 7 October: 9:30am – 10:30am
Step 4 – Complete Competition Evaluation (U8-14 only)
This is completed during the first few weeks nippers. Note – if you would like to your child to compete at carnivals this season, please ensure you notify your Age Manager within the first few weeks.
Step 5 – See you at Nippers
Start date:
SUNDAY 8TH OCTOBER: U6 – U10s only
SUNDAY 15TH OCTOBER: ALL AGES
WHAT TO WEAR/BRING
Club Age Cap and high visibility pink rashies are compulsory:
- U6 – Yellow
- U7 – Blue
- U8 – U14 – Club Cap
– Club togs and water bottles recommended
– Sunscreen and towel essential
– Google and Nipper Board (if you have one) (U9-U14)
The Uniform shop will be open from 7:30am – 9:30am on Nipper Sundays
ON THE BEACH – WHAT HAPPENS AT NIPPERS:
Each day’s activities may change depending on weather and surf conditions. Nippers will rotate through activities (water, beach, games, education)
BBQ –The BBQ will be style food, drinks, ice-blocks from 9am.
Each week an Age Group is rostered on to assist with the BBQ and uniform shop between 7am – 11am. From 10am – 11am is our busiest time when everyone leaves the beach, so we require more helpers during this time.
Existing Members/Renewing Members
You can renew online through your Members Area account.
Nipper parents, please remember to renew your membership as well as your child’s nipper’s membership.
All nippers must have at least one parent as a member of the club.
If you have a new member/nipper joining, please refer to the Renewal Guide

Membership to be approved (usually 2-3 business days)

Once approved, you can then add your new nipper child to your ‘Family Group’.
Once registration is complete, please forward a copy of your child’s birth certificate/passport for birth-date verification – admin@northburleighslsc.com.au
